ok.. so i was talking to one of my home boys last night and it got me to thinking about some thangs. see, he is a rather young and affluent black business man that started a very successful business at the age of 21 and now at the age of 24 is well on his way to millionaire-dom. not your average huh? right.
and because he is so young and busy, a ‘regular’ dating life has been rather hard for him. he normally finds himself with a scrub ass broad that has her hand out for his coins. needless to say, he’s been praying for ladies on the more ambitious/successful side of the spectrum.
-be careful what you wish for honey- cuz you never know what bullshit it can come with. ok?
so now he is dating a much older multi-million dollar home realtor [with an 18 year old child] and let me tell you- the grass ain’t greener. now that he sees how the other half is living, he is turned off…. GO FIGURE! isn’t life funny like that? just when you think you have it all figured out- BAM! here comes an upside-down, swirly, curve ball.
yea, so he is blown right about now because the girl is super bougie and out of touch with anything humble and grounded. not only that, he NOW finds himself feeling like HE is the scrub and he has to ‘keep up’ with miss fab diva in order to avoid feeling less-than.
not a good look. i mean how you gonna go from avoiding the groupies, to being endangered of turning INTO one. f*ck that!!! i told him, “honey!!! please do NOT let another human being make you forget that you are FABULOUS. please consider the possibility that this lady is FLOSSING her money now -only because- it’s all brand NEW to her. by the time you’re her age [in 13 years] .. you will NOT be pressed like that. ok? so get it together!”
anywho- it brought me to the conclusion that we should never seek out a new relationship based on something we did NOT like about our previous one. the chi will just be all wrong honey. like- you would be looking from a place of despair and desperation as opposed to a place of peace and overstanding.
give yourself TIME and space to exorcise all the demons of the old before you venture out into the new…. ok lovies??? -thanks.
now- let me go and get me some tea before i have a mini-fit over here..

Extremely wise words from a wise one. Alot of people need to consider this greatly before starting new relationships.
