currently [under the drier-harlem]
i was sitting in a diner with new roomie the other day talking about how people come into your life to teach you some real shit.
good or bad. it still be real.
it goes without saying that, often times, these folks come into your life and do nothing BUT wreck shop… i call them the accidental tourists.
but even tourists tend to learn something in the midst of all their ignorance don’t they? so- those people were learning from you. [you aren't the only important person on the planet you know] and as inconvenient as they are in your life, they too, have an overall purpose in life’s ultimate plan for you.
and let’s be honest, they teach us something too. what to avoid like the plague, that’s what. that’s good to know too, isn’t it??
hell yeah!
as for me, i’ve been moving and shaking. finally am a resident of the great island of manhattan [what did tupac say on a different world when he came busting into 'the pit' to get lena back ? ... -ah yes- "once again it's on." ] the last time i lived here, i wasn’t nearly as grown as i am right now honey.
so errrrr ummmm… i feel sorry for the vultures.
musically- my live all-lady band is slowly coming together. i have my back up singers Kim & Sade that have come through for me in so many ways in such a short amount of time. AND those bitches sing better than me. so how did i get so blessed to have them backing ME up? *sigh* [God is too good] i also have promising bass player and drummer chicks.
i have 3 songs in the works currently with 3 different producers. i need to crack the whip on myself to complete at least one every week this month. i mean… they are almost done
so errrr ummmmm… YEAH.
here are some pics from a show i was a part of on 9.29.08 in dc:

ladies, there is almost nothing that feels more divine than being fully done. hair, nails, toes, tummy
so even if you can’t afford that $50 spa pedicure or $35 span mani this week, it doesn’t mean that you can’t indulge and pamper yourself. it may seem silly at first but soak your own damn hands and feet in water with rose petals in it! use your favorite aromatherapeutic oils and indulge for about 8 minutes of quiet soaking. don’t ask me why 8- just made it up.
then once you have soaked - gently exfoliate to get the dead skin off and now you are ready to paint!!!
and don’t just throw the polish on, take 15 minutes and carefully paint your toes first then your hands. make sure u use q-tips and nail polish remover to get any polish of your skin. and bam!
the cheapest way to feel instantly beautiful!!
and since you saved so much money on that, you can now afford a fresh veggie/fruit juice. my favorite blend is: carrot, spinach, celery, apple, ginger, and lime. it may sound gross to some of you veggie-phobes, but trust me it is YUMM and your body will love you for it!
until next time… smooches!!
